Books For Plain Homesteading Pentecostals

This page is intended to be used as a look into the content of our library and what books we feel are the most useful. We'll also be including where to find these books the cheapest.  Christian living and Homesteading both cover a multitude of subjects so I'll do my best to keep everything in it's own category.

While we are in the process of getting this page going, we'll let you know that as a rule of thumb, you can't go wrong with anything from Word Aflame Publications. They have books covering everything that a Oneness Apostolic Pentecostal needs. They even have some very good books that cover health and fasting. I highly recomend them.

UPDATE

We've been in our house now for eight months. Our library consists of probably a dozen and a half printer-paper boxes of books. We are doing our best to get new bookshelves to organize everything. This list is on our mind. There are many many good books out there, and there are also some that are inferior or redundant. We'll do our most expeditious to update this list. Signed August 9th!Michael McCartan

I think this page will begin to really be updated once we are able to buy some good bookshelves. As of December sixth, this still hasn't happened yet :(

This is a book that I am happy to bring to notice. It is an authority you can trust on all things bee related without having to worry about people injecting a political agenda. Knowledge-only in this book. Published 1923 by The A. I. Root Company of Medina, OH. 931 pages of information, not including a brief dictionary and thorough index at the end for a total of 960 pages. This book is indispensable for us. Not to mention it is one you don't often find mentioned where it should be.
This book is readily available for purchase from Amazon and Ebay for usually around 30$ on up. If you have an interest in bee's get this before you begin and your feet will be on solid ground. The book deserves 5 of 5 stars. You can't fault a book of this age for not having research in it that has happened since it's publication. I'm not sure what the last year was that it was published. Although it has been published over 40 times! I'm not sure if the latest publications are strict copies of the original or if they include extra information. It seems to me from what I've seen of their page counts from books of the 1940's that the older the book the more content it has. I pray our Father bless you in your literary pursuits and with your apiary.

O.k., so even while our page is not being filled up yet, I have to say there is one book that needs to be in everybody's library. It's called Cure Tooth Decay by Ramiel Nagel. I don't care where you buy it or if you get it for free somehow. Read it and use it. Refer to my blog postings on teeth for reasons why you need it. I think it's about thirty bucks new, it's that or how much for going to the dentist? Yeah, it's a no-brainer, the book pays for itself in a single month.
