Our Random Pictures

O.k. so it's been a long while since I've done anything with this page, if I can find a way to upload pictures from my phone quicker, there will be many photos to see on here promptly.

This is place for pictures we feel are relevant.

Elizabeth Ann and Abigail Grace
This photo was taken the tenth day of the ninth month in the year of the Lord 2013

This is why you don't want a broody hen. Unless you have a rooster and want the chicks to be raised by the hen, there is no benefit to them squatting on eggs. Typically a hen will peck you if you try to remove the eggs from underneath her. Wear gloves to remove her from her throne. Another hazard is that if like in this photo, she has a dozen or more eggs under her, eventually eggs will get cracked and that isn't good for you and it means a sticky mess in the coop and under the hen. Most of these eggs weren't even the property of this hen.

This is a home-like structure that Elizaebth and I recently saw during a visit to Colonial Williamsburg. We both liked the simplicity and attractivness of the building. If it were extended by one more set of windows it would be perfect for all of the craft equipment we have and our piano, the bedrooms would be upstairs.

Here is a photo that Elizabeth snapped of me while we were on a vacation. Sneaky Girl!
I'll have to find one of her.

This is a photo from when she and I travelled the country working together. Doesn't she look happy?!
This was taken on the sand of California.

  1. Just MHO but a full second floor costs about the same, is easier to build and gives more usable space without the risk for leaks etc. dormers pose, plus it is more energy effecient.

    1. I've not built a house before, but it seems to me that a two story brick home would cost more than a single story. Maybe I understand you wrong?
